Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant provides support to the research and development team by performing a variety of laboratory tasks. This includes preparing samples, running tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to follow instructions, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for testing
- Run tests according to established procedures
- Maintain laboratory equipment
- Clean and organize laboratory space
- Assist with research projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a science-related field
- Experience with laboratory equipment
- Experience with research projects
