Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team and ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. The Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures across our organization. This position requires a proactive individual who can assess potential hazards, conduct regular safety audits, and lead training sessions to promote workplace safety awareness. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various departments to enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, while also fostering a culture of safety mindfulness. As a Safety Coordinator, you will be instrumental in reducing workplace accidents, investigating incidents, and recommending corrective actions to minimize risks. Your expertise and vigilance will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our workforce and the overall operational excellence of the company. Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and response coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively conduct training and collaborate with teams.
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Certification such as CSP, CHST, or OHST is highly desirable.
